The first weekend of this month, invite your parents down for the fall family weekend. This weekend will be full of a ton of events that can allow your parents to get involved with you on campus.

On the 10th, make your may to the construction industry career fair to prepare for your future, and on the 16th come to the student union where a Networking event will be held if you want to explore different majors.

Spencer: There are tons of arts events going on at OSU this month!

Come see the Grammy and Emmy-winning ensemble, Time for Three showcase their amazing musical talents at the McKnight Center on October 4th at 7:30.

Additionally, enjoy a Pre-Concert Conversation with the members [00:01:00] of Time for Three in the Recital Hall one hour before they perform to learn more about their set list and their musical process.

Composer, singer, and actor Lyle Lovett is bringing his band to McKnight as well. Their music spans just about every genre you can think of and it’s sure to be an amazing show!

Also, flutist and educator Carrie Chase is bringing her 24-year performance initiative, Density 2036, to the McKnight Center. Unlike anything seen before, this massive series spans a quarter of a century and is currently in its 12th year of performance, and it’s sure to be spectacular!

Lastly, to fully embrace spooky season, McKnight is screening the infamous horror film Carrie!  Be sure to wear your Halloween costumes to this screening of this iconic horror movie based on the Stephen King novel.

Over in the OSU Theatre, OSU kicks off the 2024-25 season this month with Little Women. The cast and crew have been working on this musical adaptation of the classic story all semester, and it’s sure [00:02:00] to be amazing! Also, I’ve heard there are some swordfights involved, so this show is not one to miss. The show runs from October 11th to the 13th in the Vivia Locke Theatre at the Seretean Center!

Also, TCO, OSU’s Theatre Council, is putting on their performance of Puffs, the hilarious parody of the Harry Potter stories, focused on the lives of the less well-known students at Hogwarts. Come see the show on October 25-27th!
